The demand on our energy in autumn can be greater than the supply, sometimes creating an imbalance. As daylight fades and nature begins to slow down, conserving its energy for winter, humans go against the grain and get busy! We get back to evening classes, extracurricular activities and other scheduled pastimes abandoned during summer. At the same time, the weather brings big fluctuations in temperature, floods and strong winds. These winds can be very penetrating and bring other disruptive forces with them, such as cold or damp, or bacteria and viruses, which bring colds, respiratory illnesses and other discomforts—pain, chills, fever, fatigue and so on.
There are points on the body that are particularly sensitive to these disturbances. Prune Harris, a well-known practitioner who sees energy, says that when these points are open, they create a tunnel through all our energy systems, through which our vitality can also escape. It's handy to be able to close these points in this season of high energy demands, and when we're all breathing the same air, on public transport, for example. Recently, all my wind entry points were unbalalnced as I travelled from a dry to a humid climate. The humidity penetrated me, and my joints sounded the alarm. I had to close my wind entry points to relieve them.
So where are these famous points and how do you close them? The points are scattered all over the body, in areas you can probably guess, as your elders probably reminded you to cover them when you were young. There are seven (7) on the head and neck (see photos - of a mannequin head), 2 on the trunk above the kidneys, 4 on the upper limbs (the inside of the hands and the junction between the shoulder and the neck), 4 on the lower limbs (the bottom of the feet and all around the knees). To close them, lightly press or rub the points for about ten seconds, then use your fingers to trace figure-8 shapes directly onto the skin, then above the points, moving away from them by about 20 cm to seal the tunnel created in your energy body.

Do this regularly if you're sensitive. A few weeks later, the wind left me with flu-like symptoms (sometimes the shoemaker’s children go barefoot), so let's just say it's part of my routine to close these points for the time being, and I'm listening to my elders... I'm covering them. ☺
